Hong Kong: Peak Tower and Ngong Ping

2007-04-11 to 2007-04-12

We caught the famous `Star Ferry` to the other side of the water and then caught the very steep tram up to the Peak Tower to see the most spectacular view of Hong Kong, the photo really doesn`t do it justice!

After that, we caught the cable car at Ngong Ping which went along a pilgrimage route that the monks used to walk years ago to see Po Lin. This was very amusign as Steve was obviously scared of being up so high in this cable car, to which the chinese girl that was in the car with us found very amusing as she was giggling at him!

Po Lin was really quite something to see, I think it`s the world`s largest bronze Buddah (though that may be wrong – they seem to say stuff like that at all of these places!)
